Bob's Treasuretrove
When I first experienced my disabilities. I did not know how to cope nor where to go for help. I have worked on disability issues for over 30 years on national, state and local levels. I earned a graduate degree in the psychology of disability. So my knowledge is both academic and personal. I see an issue from all sides. I lost most of my speaking abilities several years back, so cannot teach nor lecture anymore. I am looking for alternative ways to share my knowledge. I'll post information in my blog that I hope you find helpful. I also ask that you request specific information on any topic. If I have the expertise that you seek, I'll share my knowledge with you. If I don't, I'll research the topic and post it here. Bob

Foot drop and new treatments
My stroke left me with a condition called 'foot drop'. I wanted to find something that would build my muscles up, not reduce them as my leg brace was doing. I found, on the internet, an item that would put electrical shocks on particular muscles that would make them draw up thus lifting the toes. I would like some discussoins on the item and your thoughts on the advisability of using electricity to pick up a foot. I am familar with the items that the companies are marketing so I will recognize it if you try to pick one company over the other. I am interested in a discussion of the good or the bad effects of electrical stimulation.
Hopeless Desperado/Gothseeks female friendship & love;
Jeff Morris I am 5-11, 150 lb.s, living in Los Angeles, CA. I'm single, straight, live alone/have my own pad, am independent, better at cleaning than cooking. Enjoy life hangin' out and kickin' it with good, close friends. Music is my source of self-power & is my deep, passionate love that keeps me sane day to day; music like Alternative Rock, 80's & 90's Pop Rock, Rave, Trance, House, Hip-Hop/R & B, Jazz, Blues, & alittle Classical. I like friend's with whom are free to just (BE) themselves, exhibiting a sense of independence & freedom to just (BE) yourself. I'm fascinated with (The Faith psychological & personality profile-actress: Eliza Dusku). Moving on, I've been on my own a majority of my life, (17) years in LA, originally from Detroit, MI. At (18), I moved out to LA. I am clean, safe,diseases-free. I desire female close companionship/friendship with whom are playful, slim, sassy, spunky, funny, geeky, (21-35), Caucasian, Hispanic or Asian, slim, medium length hair, any eye color, no body piercing, small tattoos are fine. I enjoy (sci-fi) films. I'm PC/internet savvy & resourceful. I do freelance casual/general labor work at. I'm not a player, etc, but am a respecter of independance & free love. I don't like drama, am humble, old school, know what I want, and am like a desperado. Much love to all LA women, take care of yourself, and remember to "Stand up for your love rights". Be that (?, Angel, Goddess, Queen, Mistress, Bad Ass Girl, whatever), 'person' and 'Woman' whom you choose to exhibit unto other's, as well as yourself, but be true & honest to & with yourself. If some didn't 'hate', ETC so much, people might experience more inner happiness that already exists inside, awaiting YOU. I imagine being on my knee's, almost in tear's staring at beauty I've always had a fascination with: 'Woman'; like a reflection of LOVE that could bring out the best, misc of & in me, being my soul. Deep, unimaginable LOVE that I can only dream about, sigh; I love...my website, (Page 1, 2, & 3): http://www.jeffreydavidmorris.com
My Disability Talk On Skipslist
Here you and I will talk about our disabilities and how we deal with life's problems.
PalmGirl.Kay
Myasthenic frustrated with The Systems and The Symptoms, mostly medical care. I've been winning my battle for 10 diagnosed years, and extra year mis and undiagnosed. Wishing there was better health care in NY and especially a doctor who would see my drooping eyelids and need for a lift as a condition and not a vanity thing. My insurance won't cover a simple nip-tuck to correct this Myasthenia Gravis symptom. I would like to be able to see without attaching tape from my brows to my forehead! Anyone else with this issue? Any feedback, comments, even criticism would be welcomed. Maybe you know of a NY cosmetic surgeon that would do such a small proceedure and make such a big difference in my life, pro bono, ala Dr's Sean McNamara & Christian Troy. Or, maybe I watch too much TV and am a dreamer believing there is a generous, kind doctor. Best Wishes for Good Health to all.
